Clowns may very well scare just as many people as they entertain, but jokes aside, this clown—Puddles Pity Party, to be exact—has a voice that’s anything but scary. In fact, it’s downright amazing. But we’ll get to that later. First, listen to his cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” Then we’ll talk.

So, what’d you think? Pretty amazing, right?

According to the Puddles Pity Party website, the clown went from performing at a flea market to singing for millions of YouTube viewers, getting his “big break,” so to speak, with this cover of Lorde’s “Royals.” As a result, the clown’s played multiple festivals internationally.

As for this particular cover, Puddles Pity Party wanted to stay as true to the original Bowie song as possible, and we think they did just that.
