While some of Pink Floyd’s most popular albums were created with co-lead singer David Gilmour, they were influenced by the unfortunate downward spiral of co-founder, original singer/songwriter, and guitarist, Syd Barrett.

Barrett’s drug abuse and mental illness led to increasingly erratic behavior, and in 1968, the band officially announced he had left the group. Though he went on to create several solo albums, his time in Pink Floyd still left a lasting impression on fans.

“Arnold Layne”

“See Emily Play”

 “Jugband Blues”
